I can't believe how fast time flies as it seems like just yesterday that I brought this sweet girl into the world. She is the best baby in the world. She sleeps 4-5 hours at a time at night and hardly ever cries. I keep waiting for it to get harder!! I hope it doesn't. Tomorrow is her first time to go to church and I can't wait for our church family to meet her...at least the ones that haven't already. I am also going to have her first photo session tomorrow so check back tomorrow for those pictures!!!

Emily Grace Estes is Here!!!

Emily Grace Estes was born on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 12:02 PM via C-Section. She was 8 lbs 11 ozs and was 21 inches long. She was bigger then Taylor when he was born!! We got home yesterday and are both doing great. I am a little slower then normal at getting around but have lots of help and getting better by the day! Emily has lost a pound since leaving the hospital but is nursing every two hours or more so she should catch back up really quickly!!

But....no signs of her as of yet!! Actually feeling pretty good but hopefully that will change anytime and she will make her debut!! I am so anxious to meet my little girl and so are the boys. Jesse asks everyday if we are getting the baby out today. 16 years today Marc's brother passed away and while this date has gotten easier for everyone we all still miss him very much. Just the fact that this is my due date is really special and a sign that she is a gift from God!!! It would just be perfect if she came today but God's timing is ALWAYS best!!!

Everyday when Marc comes home from work he goes to the closet to change clothes and Jesse loves to go in there with him so Marc can set him on the top shelf. They throw socks at each other. This Saturday my friends gave me a baby shower for Emily!! It was perfect. The food was great and I got so many nice things. I don't think she will ever have to wear the same thing twice. I am so blessed to have such a great group of friends and a great family!!
I also went to the doctor today for my 34 week check up and he said the baby is measuring really big so in two weeks I will go for an ultrasound to see how much she weighs and then I guess he will decide if I will have her early and if he will do a C-Section. He told me NO MORE sweets or starches. Ugh....isn't that everything we eat!!!!!

Today was our 4D ultrasound at a place called The Inside Story!! It was so neat. At first Emily did not want to move her hands away from her face but after many exercises and me walking around for a while she decided to let us see what she looks like. She is so cute....chubby cheeks and lots of hair. The technician thinks she looks like her Daddy which makes him very happy!! I think so to!! WOW...I love that little girl and can't wait to meet her. Which actually she said I was measuring a little later then we thought so I may deliver somewhere around the end of July!!! YAY!!!!

Taylor at Camp SkyRanch!!!

This week has been really wierd without Taylor as he has been at camp since Sunday in Dallas at Camp SkyRanch. It is a really awesome camp and I am sure he is having a blast!! Everyday they update their site with pictures of the day and Taylor has actually made a few. It's nice to see his face and know that he is having fun. He comes home Saturday and I can honestly say I can't wait!! I miss him!!! I didn't realize how much I depend on him during the day....he's my helper!!!

I was at Lowe's the other day and was looking at lighting for the baby's room and came across this chandelier for $74....but it was awful!!! It had the ugliest shades on it with a bright green and off white rose buds and an ugly off white color. But it was only $74 so I thought I could do something with it......here are the before and after pictures. We just hung it in the baby's room last night so I will take a picture of the completed project later an update this post with it!!!

Well, I don't have long!! Three months and Miss Emily will make her debut. I can't wait! While I know she is a precious gift from God and I wouldn't trade this pregnancy for anything in the world it hasn't been easy. Everything is healthy with her and I but I just seem to be so tired all the time and the heart burn is terrible lately. BUT....no nausea so that is good!! 17 weeks of that was enough!!

Her due date is August 6th which is a really neat thing as that is the day that Marc's brother passed away so many years ago. Now, a day of mourning will be replaced with a day of joy (if she decides to come that day!) I know that Brian is so happy about that...actually he is probably laughing so hard at his brother having 4 kids!!!!
The funny thing is the other day Marc said he wouldn't mind having a little girl from China one day....I told him he has lost him mind!!! BUT...we all know that as soon as we think we have it all worked out God sometimes has other plans!! Who knows...while dating we always said we would have 5 kids!!

This was all of us all dressed up before Sunday service. I think we clean up well!!! After church Marc's parents, Daniel and Romey and the kids, my momma and Calvin and the Quakes came over and we had crawfish and all the sides that go with it!! Marc did a great job on the crawfish and the kids loved it!

Most of all thank you Lord for what you did for us and all the blessings you have given my family. We thank You and praise your name always!!!!

Oh, and some of you may be wondering why Marc is wearing his gun and badge to church?? Well, he was asked to along with another officer. It's sad that now you have to have the police at church but we do!!

Here is the bedding I decided on for Emily's room. Totally different from what I had thought I wanted but I love it!! I have also decided to get the light pink Jenny Lind crib. Here are pictures of both!!!
There will be a few things changed on the bedding like I want it ruffled around the top of the bumpers and I want the sheet to be pink instead of white.

These are the swatches I like for the bedding.....of course I have no clue which ones I will put together but I definately will be using the black and white for the bumpers with the minky dot on the inside so it's soft for her. I will accent everything with the pale pink!!!

Here are the pictures from the successful benefit we had on Saturday for Emma and Emma's Hugs. God was so good and will continue to be in this sweet families life. We were honored to be able to help out. Of course we give all the glory to God but are so thankful for Bill and Susan Baker for their leadership and hard work. Can't wait for next year!!!

My good friend Kim gave me a $100 Pottery Barn gift card and I have been saving it until I found out the sex of the baby and after a frantic search for the card tonight I found it and made my first purchases for Emily's room!!!! Her room is going to be black and white with pink accents....LOTS of PINK accents!!!! I also bought her a dress from House of Hatten that is so precious that I can't wait to see it on her!!

I only bought the baskets on the black shelf and the scalloped liners that go in the baskets. I had her name monogrammed on the diaper and bottle holder!!!

Yesterday we had our ultrasound and everything was great.....the baby is healthy by all the numbers and measurements. She also informed us that "she" was being a little lady by not wanting to uncross her legs. Luckily, she already knew the sex from the beginning of the ultrasound while checking everything out. We are so excited....except Jesse....he says we need to go have the doctor check again!!! LOL!!!
We got the most amazing pictures. The ultrasounds have come a long way since I was pregnant with Taylor YEARS AGO!!! We got one 3D picture of her "smiling"!!! She is going to be one happy, SPOILED little girl and I can't wait!!

I know a LOT of you guys that read my blog are prayer warriors and I come to you to ask for prayer for my friend Erynn and her family. Erynn is a friend that I met on a board that I used to post on a lot. We have tried to keep in touch through email but with kids and life in general sometimes it is hard. We created a friendship that I think is unique to have never really "met" each other. She has been married for a few years and has a one year old precious little boy and a baby girl on the way. About two weeks ago her husband and father in law were killed in a plane crash. It is a horrible tragedy and I know she can use all the prayers she can get. Please pray for her and her mother in law and the rest of the family. She is due to give birth on St. Patrick's day and I know as wonderful as it is going to be to meet her sweet baby girl she is going to have an emotional day too. So, please all my prayer warrior friends please lift up Erynn and her family!!!

We came home last night from my docotors appointment in the SNOW!!! It was absolutely beautiful at our house. When we first got home it was just lightly snowing but after about 9 it was BEAUTIFUL!!! We got Noah out of the bed and he played and he and Taylor had snowball fights. They had so much fun. Noah said he prayed it would snow again tonight!!!!
Of course the first thing Noah did was lay down in it with no jacket or shoes and make a snow angel!!!!

Well last night was my first time to REALLY feel sick!!! I didn't actually throw up but sure wish I could have......maybe I would have felt better!!!
They say it is a good sign though to have sickness and all the fun things, or I guess I should say not so fun things, that go along with pregnancy. SO, I guess I am doing great!!!!!
We go to the doctor on Wednesday, the same doctor that told Marc and I that it was impossible for us to ever conceive a child on our own again. He must not know that God has a HUGE sense of humor and works in such mysterious ways. He is good all the time!!!!

The Estes boys would like to tell everyone that they are going to all be big brothers in about 9 months. We are in SHOCK but very happy!! After 12 years of being infertile, so we were told numerous times, and two adoptions, and 14 years of marriage later here we are PREGNANT!!!! The Lord really does work in mysterious ways. The boys are so happy and have asked a hundred questions. Taylor immediately told all his friends and Noah actually wanted to call his teacher tonight but I told him it could wait until tomorrow!!
I am due on August 6th, which is also the anniversary of Brian's death, which is Marc's brother. God has replaced our mourning with joy!! Not that Brian will ever be forgotten or missed everyday!! I know that Brian is looking down on us smiling and probably laughing at his brother who will now have 4 kids!!! OMG!!!! We are going to be the crazy family!!!

I just have to say how proud I am of Taylor and Thomas this weekend. They attended a Disciple Now weekend at church and had to do a "Big Give" project in the community. They were divided into 4 groups and each group was given $300 to do with as they wanted but they had to help someone or the community. Well, Taylor and Thomas' group decided to help Timothy Rose, a dear friend of theirs that has cancer. That group of kids raised $1890 for him!!!!! They bought him lots of stuff for his hospital bed, groceries, video games, hats and much more and were able to present his parents with $1000 cash to help with expenses!! One lady came up to me at church and told me what good boys they are and how they helped so much with ideas and how excited they were to help their friend. I am sure Tim is so happy to receive those things and that the group thought of him. Please, everyone that reads this blog please pray for this little boy....he needs it!!!
Again, let me just say God is so good and I am so glad Taylor is part of an amazing youth group!!!

I can not believe how fast they grow up!! Where are my baby boys??? Every year I have made Taylor hold up fingers for whatever grade he is in and this year with him being so cool and all, he did NOT want to but FINALLY I talked him into it!! Since the day I saw Kim's David Yurman bracelet I have wanted one and there were two stores in Cozumel that had them so I would always go in there and show Marc for a Christmas hint. Well, one night we were all in there looking at the jewelry and I showed him the bracelet again. I guess at some point he bought it without me knowing because at Senor Frogs later that night when I came back from the bathroom the bracelet was around the stem of my glass!!! He's so sweet!!! I love it and it looks great on too!!!! LOL!!!!!! You can kind of see it in the picture below...

Words can not explain how much fun we had this night. I am not really a clubbing kind of person but the people watching was great that night. We laughed SO hard and had the best time!!! Kim and I felt like "Barbies" as the waiters really liked us!!! Kim even did the sandwich with one on the dance floor.....not that she had a choice in the matter!!! LOL!!!!

All I can say is how did Kim and I get so lucky????

We stayed on the 7th floor of some condominiums in the PENTHOUSE!!! It was beautiful!! The first time we got off the elevator into our house the view through the windows was breath taking!! We could have just sat outside on the balcony the whole time and never left. We watched the cruise ships come in and go back out. Pretty amazing!!!!
The maids made little animals out of our towels each morning until Marc ruined it as you can see in the last picture!!!

The penthouse had the biggest shower I have ever seen but whoever designed it didn't use their brain. It took all of us to figure out how to work it and I takes an hour to fill it up so the jets will work. See how excited David was once it started working but to bad all the hot water was gone by then!!! LOL!!

God help the looters that came to Tanglewilde!!! Luckily we did not have any problems that whole week. Most nights all the neighbors stayed outside getting to know each other and eating!!! That seemed to be our favorite thing to do!!

Well, I wish I could say that the actual storm was SO SCARY but since I slept through most of it I would be lying!!! I gave my little ones dimatapp to make sure they slept through it and Taylor could sleep through anything so he was ok. We spent two days preparing our house and stocking up on gas, water and food. Marc's friend Tom was here from Michigan so he was a huge help. His wife wasn't to happy he was here but thank God he got back home to them safe and sound. It was so nice to meet neighbors that we had never met and ban together as a neighborhood helping each other. I am so blessed to live here. Having 7 days of just sitting around with family and friends is not all that bad. It was kind of nice not worrying about email and television.
No one in our neighborhood had any major damage but there are some other neighborhoods around that didn't fare so well. Some people lost everything and others were close to loosing everything. We just lost power for 7 days but we very lucky enough to have had a generator that powers most of the house so everyone just hung out here. We ate better in those 7 days then we ever have! Again, thanks be to God for watching out for us in this storm and I pray for the people of Galveston and surrounding areas that were affected. I will post pictures later!!!

Estes Family Reunion in Tennessee Smokey Mountains

Here are the pictures of our family reunion we had for the Estes side in Tennessee. It was beautiful and the house we stayed in was perfect. It has 13 bedrooms and plenty of room for all of us. The view was to die for!! We had lots of good food, we watched a DVD made by Marc that had over 700 pictures of our entire extended family, the boys had Xbox and guitar hero, a hot tub, swimming pool and KARAOKE!!! The Estes' are all great singers and love to play music and sing when they are together. The most important thing is that Mamaw had all her children and most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren together for three days. She was so thrilled and is a very blessed mother and grandmother!!!

Well we made it!!! 14 years!!!!! Those that know us know that this has been a year of changes and growing for us. We have worked hard on our marriage, found the best church home ever, made new friends that we hold so dear to our heart, and moved to a new house!!! I would not change a thing about last year because I know for a fact it was all in God's will and my life is so much better because of it.
We have been together almost 16 years and have been blessed so much that I don't know what I did to deserve my life but I am sure glad I did it!!! I am so blessed to be married to such a Godly man and great father. He loves the Lord and we are growing in our faith together and will one day celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary!!! Here are some pictures of us on the day we got engaged until our completed family!!!

This afternoon I dropped Noah off at Marc's job so they could go to the deer lease and spend the weekend together but needless to say Jesse was not very happy about that as he doesn't like being away from his brother or his DAD!!! Anyway, to make Jesse feel better I told him after I ran a few errands that we would go to Toy's R Us and buy him a train. He loves Thomas and all the trains!! So, that is exactly what we did and he chose Gordon for the low low price of $21.99 (insert bug eye guy here)!!!! Whoever created Thomas is sure proud of their trains!! Now we are on our way home and Jesse keeps asking how much longer OVER AND OVER!! I tell him 20 minutes and he was fine. I then am talking on the phone to Kim C. and as I turn into my neighborhood I hear Jesse say "YAY, I can open Gordon" and as I turn into my driveway I hear his door open and he and the booster seat fall out of the car!!! I was still in the process of pulling into my driveway so I scream in the phone that he feel out of the car and hang up the phone all while putting it in park and shaking as not knowing if I had run over my child and worse if he was still alive. I then run around to his side and pick him up.....THANK GOD he was crying and alive!! He has a goose egg on his head and a scrape on his cheek and elbow but other then that he is fine. My heart was definately not ok........you could see it beating in my chest and I shook for an hour. We came in and took a bath and cleaned him up and never in his short three years of his life have I enjoyed bathing him as much as I did tonight!!! As we walked to the Cokers I was holding his little hand and thanked God for being with my baby tonight and keeping his safe. God is so good!!!

Please....parents of small children check your child locks and make sure they are on. This could have been prevented all together if I would have made sure it was on. He usually sits on the other side but last weekend we moved him to the other side and didn't do that door.

So tonight thanks to a mighty God I go to bed with two of my boys safe and sound and know the other one is safe and sound with his Dad and will be home Sunday!!!!

Here are some belated birthday party pictures from Noah's party at the race track. He has so much fun and so did we as you can see in the pics. After the kids were through riding the adults rode. Guys vs. guys and girls vs. girls!!! It was so fun....I don't think I have ridden a go cart since junior high!!!
Something funny to share about the decorations was the pit passes I made for the kids. My brother happened to be down that morning so I had him do me a pit pass in word and him being anal like me on stuff like that he worked so hard to get the checkered boarder just right and the font and it looked great. We then emailed it to Marc so he could print them out and laminate them to put on the strings so they could wear them around their neck. WELL....I get to the party and Marc hands me the pit passes and the boarder on them was FLAMINGOS!!!! WHAT????? Where the heck did our neat checkered boarder go??? Marc says I am OCD when it comes to parties and he is right....!!!!!! SO, my cute little pit passes were a bust!!!!

Old Friends and turning 35!!!!

We went out Saturday to celebrate my best friend Kim's birthday......she is so old....she turned 35!!!!! Actually all three of us in the picture turned 35 this year. Mine was May 15th, Crystal's was May 25th and Kim's was July 11th. We have been friends since about 2nd grade!! I think it is so neat that we are all such good friends still and are raising our kids together and they are all friends. Kim's little girl is a little out numbered with the six boys between the three of us. Here is a picture of the three of us Saturday night!

We went to Carmine to vistit my mom and step dad for the weekend of 4th of July and spent one day at my brother and sister in law's new house in Austin. We grilled hamburgers and the boys played with water balloons. The boys spent the night with Uncle Pete and Aunt Candace and had a great time. That is all they have talked about since coming home. After they got back to Carmine I made Noah and Jesse model for me in Mom's truck. They only KIND OF cooperated....I actually had to pay Noah $5 to model. He wanted $20!!!!! Anyway, I think some of them turned out pretty neat. The first pictures are of our day at Payton's!!!

Noah's 6th Birthday!!!

Yesterday was Noah's 6th Birthday!! I can't believe how fast they grow up. It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating his 1st birthday!! He spent the day with me buying stuff for his party and he got to go buy his Nintendo DS. Then we met Daddy and the three of us went to a "fancy restaurant" like he wanted to do. We went to Chili's!!!! LOL!!!!
Anyway, here is Noah on his first birthday and him today!!!!! WOW!!!!!

Second Baptist Church Ground Breaking Service

This morning our family attended the ground breaking service for our new church. It was a great service and we are so blessed to be a part of it all!!! I can't wait for the new building to be built and to see how many lives are changed through Second Baptist. I know this church has changed our lives. As my kids shoveled some of the dirt I was thinking about how Noah and Jesse collected change that they found in the dryer over a few months time and how Taylor tithed 10% of his birthday money and how from those contributions they have helped make all this happen. Even if it is a small portion!!! As one lady said in our home meetings...."They have ownership in our new beauitful church." WOW!!! That is so true!! Here are some pictures I took this morning. One was taken from the car as we were waiting in traffic to get in to park. I was so excited to see all the cars, the tent, and the big trucks and to know that is my family's church home!!!

Here are some more pictures of our trip to Disney. We had dinner with Pooh and his friends. Jesse LOVED it at first until Piglet tried to give him a kiss!!! Jesse then hid under the table and would not have anything to do with them again. We had a great time and stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was a beautiful hotel!!!

Taylor's 12th Birthday Celebration at Ichibon!!!

Yesterday Taylor turned 12 and we celebrated by going out to eat with the Coker family and Meme and Pawpaw. We had a great time and the food was excellent!!! The boys had sushi. That was Taylor's first time to have sushi and he said he loved it. I still can't believe that he is 12 as it just seems like yesterday he was coming home from the hospital!!

Here is some of our new house and what we have gotten done so far!! I think it is coming along nice. We love it here!!! I sometimes miss my old house but I know, without a doubt, this was the best thing for us!! The upstairs is not done at all so keep checking back for pictures once it is finished!!! We are still not sure about the green in the bedroom as sometimes it looks a little like split pea soup but it is staying for now. I love the ceiling though!!

We officially closed on our new house! We are all very excited to move in. The painters are starting on Wednesday and will take 4 days to finish and after that we are ready to move!!! It is going to look so good!

This Saturday Robin, Lori and I gave Sara a baby shower for baby Juliet. She got TONS of stuff and we had the best food. Sara's mother in law made the cutest cupcakes and cheesecakes. I think everyone had a really good time and Juliet will definately be the best dressed baby in town. I would say best dressed little girl but her sister already holds that title!!

Jesse's 2nd Gotcha Day!!!! 12-30-07

This first picture is the first time we saw Jesse. His greeter had got him off the plane and through customs and here he is on his way to meet us. He was so content in that stroller and poor baby didn't know what was about to hit him. He was very sad for the rest of the day and for a few weeks after. Boy has he adjusted and claimed his place in this family!!! He is the wildest, happiest child around!!! I can't imagine our lives without him. The day we got that surprise call for him was a miracle and a joy!!!!

This was Jesse's escort. He is the one that brought Jesse home from Korea to the United States. After traveling with him for two days he became very attached you could tell as he cried while hugging Jesse and telling him bye. He said something to Jesse in his ear but of course it was in Korean so we don't know what he said. He seemed like a very nice man and I found out later that he escorts lots of babies home to the USA!!!

These ladies were his greeters...they helped get Jesse and his escort through customs and off the plane. Noah had the same greeter in the same airport. Kind of neat!!!

Here he is one the plane ride home....still a little tired from his long flight from Korea the day before. He always seemed to find comfort on Marc's shoulder!!

This was his favorite place to be when we first got him with him....sleeping on Daddy. He definately preferred Daddy to Mommy!!!

Second Baptist Small Group Christmas Social!!!

We hosted the Christmas social for our small group at church and we had the best time!! My favorite picture is of Karen stealing Roger's Pier 1 gift card!! Actually, it ties with the brown and white picture of Kathryn. We had a good time doing the gift card exchange even though it stayed pretty calm with the only steal being from Karen!!!
Seriously, we feel so blessed to be part of this group and to be friends with you guys. You seriously have touched our lives and we look forward to our time together each Sunday and to getting to know you all better!!! Thank you for making us a part of your group and welcoming us with open arms!!!

Our New House!!!!

Here is our new house!!! This was kind of spur of the moment but we just couldn't pass it up. It is a foreclosure in a neighborhood we have always liked. Those of you that know us know this is HUGE that we are actually going to do it!!! We love our house now and have worked really hard on it but it's time. It will be sad because we brought all three boys home to this house and have put a lot of blood and sweat into it but I think we will be happy here. The boys will have friends to play with and it is a safe beautiful neighborhood!!!

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving this year in Kerville at my cousins house with my Dad and Carole, grandparents, and Aunt and Uncle!!! The boys had the best time and can't wait to go back! I think I got some really cute pictures. My favorite is of Jesse and Granny. The look of their faces is so cute. That is what Thanksgiving is all about....being with family...especially the ones you don't get to see that often but miss a WHOLE LOT!!! I love all you guys!!!

We had the best time in Dallas with my brother and sister in law and her parents!! They are the nicest people and we can't wait to do it again. The guys rode motorcycles most of the day Saturday and then that night we went to Pat Green and Willie Nelson. Willie seemed a little tired!!! So we came home and Marc and Doug played the guitar and sang for us...oh and Candace broke out her flute!! The next morning we got up and all went to have brunch on the motorcycles. It was so fun and the weather was perfect all weekend!!! I have also added a picture of the world most spoiled dog.....COOPER!!! (He's a good dog though.....just a little pampered!!!) :)
I also got to finally meet my good friend Courtney who I have been emailing with for
over a year!! She is precious and very sweet!!!
